Company Members

Mary Beth McNulty


Mary Beth McNulty is an educator and a playwright with Complications Company. Mary Beth’s plays have been performed from Los Angeles to Romania. Recent works include her play Baggage, developed with U-32 High School at the 2015 Fringe Festival in Scotland. Her 10-minute plays, Ifs and Oughts and Frowny-Faced Emoji, were performed in the 2015 and 2014 Boston Theatre Marathons.




Laura Roald

Laura Roald is a Canadian theatre artist whose work has appeared on stages across North America. Recent Vermont credits include writing/performing Thoughts and Prayers (Complications Company/Burlington Fringe), directing No(h)Mom (Complications Company/Burlington Fringe), stage managing Intersections (Intersections Collective/ArtsRIOT) and Brundibar (Theatre Kavanah) performing in Fantasia De Colores (Theatre Mosaic Mond), and producing Wrecking Ball: F**k 2016 (Off Center). Laura is co-founder of Complications Company. She holds an MFA in Directing from the University of Alberta and is a member of LMDA.
